Poundworld has confirmed it will open to shoppers in Grantham next Thursday, April 14, at 10am.
The new store will create 30 local retail jobs, and is situated at the former Brantano store on Saint Augustin Way Retail Park, next to Sports Direct.
The 4,000 square foot super store will offer over 5,000 products for the bargain price of £1, including groceries, cleaning, health and beauty, pet care, toys and stationery. Thousands of top branded items will also be on sale at the store.
As part of the opening celebrations there will be face painting for the younger ones, free product samples and a guest appearance from Poundworld’s money-saving mascot, Percy the Pound.
Marta Gontarz, Poundworld area manager, said: “We’re thrilled to be opening our first store in Grantham at Saint Augustin Retail Park, breathing new life in to an empty retail space.
“We can’t wait to unveil the exciting new store to Grantham shoppers to show them the amazing value we have to offer”.
The Grantham outlet will be Poundworld’s 322nd store, and is part of an ambitious expansion plan to open 60 new stores this year, creating a total of 1,800 jobs.
