By getting people to pay £1 for each square in a quilt created by Creative Crafts, Grantham’s quilting club, £192 has been raised for St Barnabas Hospice.

The innovative fund-raising was in memory of Tina Dingley’s mother Marilyn Scarborough who was a member of the group, and after its creation which took around a year, the quilt was raffled to those who donated.

Fittingly the quilt was won by the hospice’s event organiser Janie McCormick, who was presented the quilt alongside Tina Dingley and Creative Crafts members Maureen Smith and Sheila Marshall.
