Religious service for pets to be held in Grantham

On Sunday, a special church service will be held for pets.

The service will be held outdoors in the Market Place opposite the temporary beach at 4pm.

Father Stuart Cradduck, of St Wulfram’s Church, will conduct the service. He said: “I’m really excited by this. I’ve always had pets, from dogs to hamsters and now thanks to my children, chickens and geckos!

“This is the first time in St Wulfram’s history that we are holding a pet service, in which all the animals present, with their owners, will be blessed. So come along to the Market Place and give thanks for the animals which share our lives.”

Fr Stuart said the informal service is a thanksgiving for pets and the love that they share with their owners. He said any pets are welcome to bring their owners
