Resident disgusted after finding household rubbish dumped in Grantham lane

A resident says she is appalled after finding household rubbish dumped in a lane near her home.

The woman, who does not wish to be named, says she discovered the rubbish when she was walking from Sunningdale to Green Lane on Saturday afternoon.

She discovered two piles of household rubbish, some of it dumped near a litter bin, in Green Lane. The rubbish appears to contain food packets, cereal boxes and drinks cans among other waste.

The resident, who took pictures of the rubbish, said: "I was disgusted to see two very large piles of household rubbish that had been dumped. One right next to a bin! I live on the Sunningdale estate and walk up Green Lane regularly. I have never seen rubbish to this extent before and I am hoping it isn’t a sign of things to come when the majority of people are doing all they can to care for the environment."
