A TAKE away delivery driver was robbed on Saturday when he tried to take an order to a house in Houghton Road, Grantham, at around 9pm.
The 26-year-old driver from Grantham discovered the order was a hoax and was returning to his vehicle when a man approached him. He threatened him and demanded his money.
DC Mel Naylor said: “Although this is an isolated incident the victim was left very shaken and I would like to warn delivery drivers to be aware of their personal safety.”
Police are advising delivery drivers not to carry cash for extended periods of time and to call customers to authenticate orders.
The offender is described as a white man aged between 18 and 25-years-old. He is 5’10” tall, slim and clean shaven. Following the robbery the offender left the scene on foot heading towards Albert Street.
