A cash surplus of £2,500, mainly thanks to a golf day, has been shared among local charities.

The Rotary Club Grantham Kesteven recently invited representatives from nine local charities to come to a presentation evening to receive their cheques.

The charities were selected by members of the club after a ballot. They were The Grantham Food Bank, Grantham Passage, The Palliative Care Unit at Grantham Hospital (St Barnabas Hospice), Grantham Stroke Club, Home Start Grantham, The Lynx Swimming Club (for disabled children), The Rainbows Children’s Hospice and The South Lincolnshire Blind Society.
