Rotary Sunrisers help renovate Grantham Men's Shed

Members from The Grantham Sunrise Rotary Club rolled up their sleeves to help Grantham Men’s Shed renovate the old bowling pavilion at Dysart Park.

A team of Sunrisers spent the weekend painting the shed and giving the garden a much needed spruce up.

Sunrise president Lez Jones said: “It was paint brushes and rollers, forks and spades and a lot of hard graft, but the entire exterior of the shed got a fresh coat of paint, and the gardens were tended and weeded.”

Derek Bunn, chairman of the Men’s Shed committee, said: “The Sunrise Rotary Club has done a wonderful job in managing to get the entire shed painted.”

Lez added: “It was an absolute pleasure and we are pleased to be able to help out with local community projects. Work now continues to get the interior of the shed finished so it can hopefully open later this year.”
