Two dedicated members of the Hose and Harby branch of the Royal British Legion have been presented with 50 year service awards.

Long-serving Gordon Spence and John Blundy were presented their certificates and badges by branch president Graham Shipman at their branch meeting at The Plough Inn, Stathern, on Monday night.

Gordon and John have both been taking part in the Poppy Appeal collection in Harby and the surrounding area for all of their 50 years of service but have been Legion members for longer than this.
