An England flag bearing the name ‘Grantham Casuals’ has turned up for sale on a Russian website.

It appears the flag has been stolen by Russian hooligans in Marseille where England played their first game of the Euro 2016 football tournament on Saturday.

The Russians have taken a picture of themselves with the flag and posted it on Aviro.ru, the Russian version of Gumtree. There are numerous pictures circulating of Russians holding up English flags bearing the names of football clubs.

The Daily Mail reports that Russian football hooligans are offering ‘trophies’ taken from England fans on Saturday for as little as 94p each, saying they can be picked up in Marseille or sent back to Russia.

The Mail says the seller ‘Anton’, who offers his mobile number and warns ‘Englishmen: do not disturb us’, is from St Petersburg, and is believed to be in France. But the paper says, the only picture of his ‘wares’ shows an upside down England flag from the Grantham Casuals.
