Around 400 children and leaders from scout and guiding groups will parade through the centre of Grantham on Sunday.

It will be the annual St George’s Day parade, organised by the Grantham and District Scout Association.

Joining the parade this year will be a marching band, made up of the newly formed ATC Grantham band and well-established ATC band based in Brigg.

Scouts and guides will set off from Grantham bus station at 2pm, marching along St Peter’s Hill and High Street on their route to St Wulfram’s Church. Following a service, the parade will return, arriving back at the bus station at around 4.30pm.

Entertainment and activities will be set up throughout the day, from 10am, on the St Peter’s Hill green and in the Guildhall ballroom, for St George on the Green.
