See a posy, pick it’s a gift from Morrisons in Grantham

Have your say

Posies of flowers will be popping up around Grantham from tomorrow (Thursday) as part of a supermarket’s national campaign.

Florists from Morrisons, in the Isaac Newton Shopping Centre, will be leaving colourful summer posies in locations across Grantham for people to pick up and take home.

After a spell of changeable summer holiday weather, Morrisons hopes that the jolly posies will help brighten up Grantham’s Bank Holiday weekend.

The posies are being placed in parks, bus stops and shopping areas for passers by to pick up. They are made from multi-coloured Germini, which look like big, brightly coloured summer daisies.

Store manager Robert Barrett said: “Our florists know how changeable the weather has been this summer and wanted to cheer everyone up. We hope that people who find these brightly-coloured posies across Grantham will pick them up, take them home, and enjoy having their little splash of warming colour in their house.”

Morrisons makes 22 million bouquets a year using nearly 250 million stems at its very own Flower World site which spans 17.5 acres and employs over 260 fully trained florists. Uniquely, Morrisons deals directly with all of its flower growers, meaning it can offer better value to customers and a minimum of five days vase life on its flowers.
