There has been a spate of shed break-ins in the Bottesford area.

The most recent was on Wednesday, when a shed on an allotment in Grantham Road was broken into.

Police believe a brick was used to snap the padlock, but nothing was taken.

The break-in took place sometime between 6pm on Wednesday and Thursday morning.

Villagers are advised to take extra security precautions.

Meanwhile, the garage and utility room of a property in Riverside Walk was broken into sometime over the weekend.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call Leicestershire Police on the non-emergency 101 number.
