LINCOLNSHIRE Police brought its ‘More Action’ roadshow to Grantham last Saturday.
The event, on the green in St Peter’s Hill, was a chance for people to talk to officers about crime and budget cuts, as well as find out about other services available from partners working with the force.
Marketing assistant Aimee Burge said: “The event was a chance for people living, working and shopping in Grantham to have an informal chat with our officers, the ASB team and the Police Authority.
“Information on our performance in the town, crime prevention and the changes the force is going through was available and there were a number of case studies of recent successes we’ve had in terms of detecting crime and bringing offenders to justice.
“It seemed to go down really well and we had a very positive response from people who came to talk to us.”
The event was part of a series of community engagement events across the county aimed at raising awareness and talking to local people.
Dog handlers and their charges made an appearance, as did the Roads Policing Unit and the force’s dive team.
