THERE’S a chance to see a groundbreaking film which scooped five Oscars, at Grantham Guildhall on Monday.

The Artist won Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Score, Best Costumes, and Best Actor for Jean Dujardin.

The black and white, mainly silent film is set in Hollywood in 1927 and tells of movie star George Valentin’s attempts to cope with the arrival of ‘the talkies’.

Meanwhile, for young extra Peppy Miller, it seems the sky’s the limit and major movie stardom awaits

The Artist tells the story of their interlinked destinies.

The film is screened at 2pm and 7pm.
