Skate Park is a valuable asset to the community

In response to the comment made by Rachel Shields in last week’s Journal, about the the lack of use of the skate park in Wyndham Park, my son is one of many that use it.

He has had many enjoyable hours there with his friends: it has certainly been used more than the comments made suggest.

He and his friends have also spent many an hour trying to repair it, as they can’t seem to find any professional help to help do the repairs.

This is why they are left to roam the streets, trying to find somewhere to ride. Not all of them have enough money to use the indoor skatepark, so unless someone comes forward and gives them some help to do the proper repairs needed, it looks like they are going to be on the streets more often.
