Slideshow: Grantham’s Wyndham Park taken back to the First World War




Demonstrations of weapon firing and kit from the First World War attracted visitors to Grantham’s Wyndham Park over the weekend.

A collaboration between the Wyndham Park Forum, South Kesteven District Council and The Great War Society, the Living History event took place over both days and also featured exhibits including an officer’s ridge tent, field kitchen and hospital tent.

The Machine Gun Corp Old Comrades’ Association was also in attendance, and there was a display from Grantham Light Armoured Division Radio Control Tank Club.

A Wyndham Park Forum history display, children’s trails, quizzes and activities hosted by the Grantham Remembers Group and stalls by Rivercare and Grantham Canal Trust also featured.
