SLIDESHOW: Marathon man Ben Smith visits 19 Grantham schools in a day

Granthamians turned out in droves on Wednesday to support 401 marathon runner Ben Smith as he made his way through town.

If running his 247th marathon in as many days wasn’t enough of an achievement, Ben made sure he visited 19 schools right across town in order to spread his anti-bullying message.

Despite Wednesday’s run being what Ben described as the hottest marathon he has tackled this year, he was always happy to smile for a selfie, and had numerous group photographs with the many schools in the area.

And don’t forget to sponsor Ben as he aims to raise £250,000 for two anti-bullying charities, Kidscape and Stonewall, by going to his Virgin Money Giving page - The 401 Challenge
