Slideshow: Pictures from the Grantham is Great Awards 2015

St Wulfram’s Church was filled with some of the kindest, most giving people in the Grantham community on Friday as the Journal held its sixth annual Grantham is Great Awards.

On arrival at the presentation evening, finalists and their guests tucked into festive baps and mulled wine, while church choristers sang Christmas carols.

Then the awards began, hosted by Journal group editor Mark Edwards.

It was a wonderful evening enjoyed by all, and although not every finalist could win a trophy, they and every other individual and organisation nominated are winners in our eyes.

Mr Edwards said: “There was a fantastic atmosphere and everyone certainly seemed to enjoy the evening.

“The Journal team is incredibly proud of these awards and the recognition they give to so many worthwhile causes and projects, not to mention the community heroes behind them.

“Thanks must go to our award sponsors, to Father Stuart Cradduck for allowing us to hold the event in the beautiful St Wulfram’s Church, and to every person who made a nomination.”
