Everyone went barking mad last weekend for a dog show hosted by the Woodland Trust in partnership with Ruff Diamonds dog training.
More than 120 people attended the event at Londonthorpe Wood on Sunday, which saw pooches compete in ten classes ranging from Child’s Best Friend to Fastest Sausage Eater.
Their £1 fees raised nearly £200 for both the Woodland Trust and Dogs Trust.
The Woodland Trust has been working with dog owners in Londonthorpe Wood to ensure it is both a safe place for them and to limit the amount of dog poo left in the area, including by using spray paint, putting up posters, and creating specific dog walking zones.
Ian Froggatt, site manager for the Woodland Trust, said: “Londonthorpe is an incredibly valuable wood for local dog owners, and we hope everyone continues to respect and enjoy it.”
