Some truly amazing photos of this morning’s solar eclipse have been taken by readers.

The phenomena, which began at 8.27am and reached its peak at 9.32am, was the first solar eclipse in 16 years. Ninety per cent of the Sun was covered by the Moon. Another such eclipse will not occur again until 2026.
