Home-Start Grantham’s families enjoyed a rare treat at Sundown Adventureland last week.

The sunny weather meant everyone took full advantage of all Sundown had to offer. One of Home-Start Grantham’s families summing up the day in their comments book wrote: “Thank you for the best value family day out ever! Well organised, lovely coach, fab weather, PERFECT! Kids loved it – they never had the chance to go there before and we thoroughly enjoyed it – thank you.”

Home-Start Grantham have an annual trip away giving an opportunity for their supported local families to spend quality time together somewhere they wouldn’t necessarily have an opportunity to visit - as well as a chance to socialise with other families.

The invaluable support that Home-Start Grantham gives local families is under serious threat due to a funding cut from Lincolnshire County Council commencing on October 1.

Home-Start Grantham provides support for local families through informal, family friendly activities including home visits, family support groups, organised trips, outings and events.

Anyone interested in finding out more about Home-Start Grantham, either as a trustee, home-visiting volunteer or as a family needing support can contact the scheme on 01476 515310 or email admin@homestartgrantham.org.uk
