‘Smoke’ was airbag dust

Firefighters were called to reports of a car on fire following a crash in New Beacon Road, Grantham, last night (Saturday).

However, when they arrived, at 7.42pm, they found what was believed to be smoke was in fact dust from an airbag.

The Grantham crew made the vehicle safe before returning to base.
