Spate of burglaries hits Grantham estate

Police crime news.
Police crime news.

A number of burglaries have been reported recently on the Manthorpe estate in Grantham.

Yesterday, a house in Kingscliffe Road was entered and jewellery, a tablet and a watch were among items stolen.

The burglars were disturbed by one of the householders and escaped through a bedroom window. It is believed they broke in through the same window after climbing on to a flat roof. They also smashed some security lights.

A police spokesman said: “There have been a number of burglaries in the Manthorpe area of late. Please be vigilant and keep your house secure. If you require any crime prevention advice, please contact 101 and ask for a PCSO to come and attend.”
