Spate of thefts from outbuildings in Grantham area

Several thefts from outbuildings, sheds and stores have been reported to Lincolnshire Police in the Grantham area over the past few weeks.

A variety of gardening tools and machines have been taken, including hedge cutters, leaf blowers, jet washers and similar equipment.

In addition there are a reports of locks which appear to have been tampered with, and of items being moved about in gardens. Police also suspect that there might have been other similar incidents not yet reported to them.

Residents are asked to ensure that any outbuildings or sheds are secure, and police are also asking the public to consider marking property with the house name, number and post code.

If you are suspicious about a person or vehicle then call 101 and report it to the force control room.
