Between late evening on Tuesday, May 26 and Wednesday, May 27 several vans and pick-ups were broken into and searched, and tools and leisure equipment stolen.

Doors were either forced or locks drilled, in attempts to gain entry to the vehicles. If anyone has information or recalls any suspicious vehicles or persons over the period please call 101 to report giving the incident number 41 of May 27.

If you have had a vehicle damaged or items taken in the last few days and have not reported it to police, use the 101 number to do so.

The streets affected were Dudley Road, Harrowby Road, Scotney Drive, Kenilworth Road, Wardour Drive and Third Avenue.

Grantham Town East PCSO Jason Possnett said: “If you do park a works van or similar, consider parking on a driveway or as close to your home as possible, in a well lit area and remove tools or equipment if possible. Always ensure the vehicle is locked.”
