A STORYTELLING and craft session will be held at Grantham Library on Tuesday, to complement an upcoming production at the Guildhall.
Ahead of the production of ‘The Buried Moon’ on April 20, the library will host the event with a focus on the original folktale.
‘The Buried Moon’ tells the tale of the Moon Maiden who lights up the Lincolnshire fens, protecting local villagers from the nasty Boggles, Bogarts and other creatures that sneak out in the dark when the moon doesn’t shine.
However, one night, the Moon Maiden is caught by the spooky creatures of the night and it is up to the brave villagers nearby to save her and make the fenlands safe again.
Suitable for children aged seven to 10, the two-hour storytelling and craft session will be held between 10am and 1.30pm.
Youngsters will make their own shadow puppets, decorate Boggle monsters and hear the original spooky tale of ‘The Buried Moon’.
