A squadron open day attracted a large number of ex-cadets who helped raise more than £500 for charity.
The 47F Grantham Squadron Air Training Corps open day saw £200 raised for Macmillan £370 for the squadron funds.
Former cadets who came along included Steve Hullott who started with 47F as a cadet at the age of 13 and then became the Commanding Officer of 47F in the late 1980s before being appointed as Wing Commander in charge of Trent Wing Air Training Corps.
Other ‘old boys’ included Robert Holland, a cadet in the 1970s and Peter Reichelt, a cadet in the 1950s.
Today’s Officer Commanding, Flight Lieutenant Paul James said: “It was good to see the ‘old boys’ enjoying looking around the squadron and the old photographs. We will be celebrating our 75th anniversary in just over two years and I hope this will be a success too.”
