Christmas presents found on suspected burglar in Grantham

Police are trying to reunite a number of Christmas presents found on a suspected burglar with their rightful owners.

The suspect, a 45-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of going equipped for burglary and burglary of a dwelling, following an incident in Harrowby Road in Grantham.

He was arrested in the early hours of today (Wednesday) and was found in possession of Christmas presents.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: "He remains in custody and is being questioned by officers.

"We would like to return these presents, most of which are addressed to Mya, to their rightful owners. If you believe these presents may either belong to you or be from you, please call 101 quoting incident number 11 of November 28."
