Grantham Hospice is offering a chance to sparkle in its second Strictly Ballroom event.

The Barrowby Road charity is searching for 14 novice couples to take part in the competition, in which each couple will learn how to dance the jive and Foxtrot.

In return for £10 per person entry fee, participants receive 10 weeks’ free tuition with teacher Ann Gibbons. Lessons begin on Wednesday, January 8, at Long Bennington Village Hall, 7.30-8.30pm. Contestants then compete in the grand finale on Saturday, March 28, at the Guildhall Arts Centre in Grantham.

As the dance lessons are free, organisers ask participants to raise a minimum £100 in sponsorship each over the course of the 10 weeks.
