Teaspoon Tea Company to move on to Grantham High Street
A popular tea shop is preparing to move into a new and bigger premises on Grantham High Street.
Teaspoon Tea Company, which opened in The George Centre, Westgate, five years ago, is moving into the former Real Burger Co premises on 19 High Street, later this month.
Owner Lance Merryweather, who opened the teashop with wife Pamela in March 2014, told the Journal that the move will enable them to expand their homeware and loose leaf department.
He added: “We will be able to have a bigger shop area up front to sell more loose leaf tea, infusers, teapots, and coffee-making tech.
“Our customers are very happy about the move and will continue to join us.”
The move has also enabled the couple to take on more staff with the possibility of taking even more staff on in the future.
The tea shop is popular with customers for serving 50 loose leaf teas with their most expensive being one called Silver Needles, which is the purest tea that you can drink, as well as espresso coffee and a wide selection of homemade cakes and scones.
It is the latest business to leave The George Centre with Cappucinos moving to new premises, Bon Patisserie shutting up shop and Jenny Wren Lingerie and Hosiery closing in 2017.
