Three injured and dangerous driving arrest after serious collision on A52 at Bingham

Officers are appealing for information from the public after a serious collision on the A52 near Bingham in the early hours of this morning.

The collision took place just after midnight near to the Saxondale roundabout and involved a white Vauxhall Nirvano van and a Honda Jazz. The van was heading along the A52 Radcliffe Road from Nottingham towards the roundabout when it collided with a Honda Jazz heading in the opposite direction.

The driver of the van and both occupants of the Honda Jazz all suffered injuries in the collision. The most seriously injured was a 66-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Honda Jazz who has sustained critical injuries. The driver of the Honda, a 69-year-old man, sustained serious injuries.

The driver of the Vauxhall van, a 34-year-old man, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving.

Nottinghamshire Police would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision. Officers are particularly keen to speak with anyone who saw the white Vauxhall van leading up to the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 13 of 28 June, 2015.

The A52 was closed following the collision but has since re-opened.
