Till and charity box stolen from hair salon in Grantham
A till and a charity box have been stolen from a hairdressing salon in Grantham.
Police are looking over CCTV footage provided by Tailored Hair on the Sunningdale estate which was broken into overn ight.
The offenders stole the till and a charity box, causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage.
On their Facebook page the business said: "Last night we were broken in to causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage. If that wasn't bad enough they have stolen our charity pot from St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice who are heroes for the work they do!
"Stealing from a business is low but to steal from such a special charity that touches so many peoples' hearts you are absolute scum of the earth!
"I hope that if you or any of your family need to use the services from the hospice you will see what a good cause you have stolen from.
"The police have the CCTV footage and they are also looking at other footage from around the area so well done. Hope it was worth it.
"If anyone has any information please report it asap to avoid this happening again."
Tailored Hair won two awards at the Grantham Journal Business Awards on Friday night. It won Business of the Year and Employee of the Year.
A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: "“We received a call at 12.59am today reporting a burglary at a premises on Sunningdale, Grantham.
“Offenders are believed to have used a rock to smash the bottom pane of the glazed front door, and gain entry. A till was stolen.
“Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident 10 of November 6.”
