Tipper truck used by thieves intent on stealing ATM from services at Grantham




Thieves used a tipper truck in a bid to remove a cash machine from a services station near Grantham last night (Tuesday).

Police say four men used an Iveco tipper truck to try to remove the ATM machine from the Moto Services at Gonerby Moor, just after midnight.

They failed and fled the scene in a dark coloured vehicle. The tipper truck and a trailer were left abandoned at the scene.

A police spokesman said: "We are appealing for anyone who was driving in the area at around this time and has dash cam footage to contact us.

"We would also like to speak with anyone who can assist with our investigation."

Information to police on the non-emergency 101 number, quoting incident number 2 of November 18. Alternatively, email control@lincs.pnn.police.uk quoting 'incident number 2 of November 18' in the subject line or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

The Moto services are open while the investigation continues.
