A community tombola raised over £300 for the Grantham and District Hospital's accident and emergency department.

Fund-raisers Wendy Flower and Jane Dawson held a tombola in Morrison's supermarket, Grantham, on Saturday, September 1.

They were raising funds for the department and managed to raise an impressive £335 in total which will go towards patient equipment and chairs.

Suzanne Sheppard, business manager, said: “I would like to say a massive thank you to Wendy and Jane for their tremendous efforts.

“This lovely donation will be going towards some new equipment for the department which will greatly enhance the experience of our patients.”
