Conservative candidate wins Grantham Arnoldfield seat on South Kesteven District Council after by-election

A Conservative candidate won the Grantham Arnoldfield seat on South Kesteven District Council after a by-election yesterday (Thursday, October 28).

The by-election was held following the resignation of Helen Goral.

Kathleen Rice-Oxley (Conservative) won the seats.

The full results were as follows:

  • Stuart Fawcett (Labour): 136 votes
  • Kathleen Rice-Oxley (Conservative): 460 votes - ELECTED
  • Mike Turner (Green): 112 votes.

The turnout was 17.03 per cent.

Elsewhere, independent candidate Richard Cleaver won the Stamford All Saints ward in a by-election, also held yesterday. The vacancy arose following the death of Mike Exton.
