Which Grantham pub has returned to its roots as the Reindeer Inn?

A town centre pub has had a full makeover and a change of name.

The Reindeer Inn, formerly The Stagger Inn, on London Road, reopened on Friday with a fresh new look and more room for customers.

During three weeks of work, the pub was closed for the work to take place. The lounge bar has been taken out to make room for a larger seating area. All the furniture has been refurbished and new toilets have been put in.

The pub’s beer garden is also being freshened up.

The pub’s owners, Red Oak Taverns, decided to modernise it with a retro feel. Pool and darts remain an important part of the business. The pub has Sky TV shown on two 55 inch screens.

Lesley Green, who has been landlady of the pub for 15 years, said: “I am really pleased with it. I really like the lounge area.

“We have had more passing trade since we reopened which is what we need.”

Last Friday, the pub hosted a disco to help relaunch the new-look pub.

The pub has returned to its old name of The Reindeer which it had more than 20 years ago.
