Fears raised over road safety at A52 junction with planned estate in Grantham




Fears over road safety at a proposed junction on the A52 in Grantham dominated a debate on plans to build 300 homes on the edge of town.

Members of the district council’s planning committee were quick to voice their concerns over the planned estate which already has outline planning permission to be built south of the A52 Barrowby Road, next to the A1.

Concerns were raised at Wednesday’s meeting even though members of the committee on South Kesteven District Council were repeatedly reminded that they were supposed to be debating reserved matters such as design and layout. Highways matters were already agreed at the outline planning stage.
