Traffic in Lincolnshire returns to pre-lockdown levels

Traffic in Lincolnshire returned to pre-lockdown levels for the first time since March 21 on Thursday, officials have confirmed.

Deputy Chief Fire Officer and Deputy chairman of Lincolnshire Resilience Forum Mark Baxter could not give exact numbers, but confirmed that Thursday, which was recorded as the hottest day of the year so far, had been very busy.

He said: “We’re getting into realms where the traffic was at the same levels as March 21 before we went into lockdown, so we are seeing an increase in traffic and general activity across the county.
