Springfield Road’s rail bridge has been struck again, causing trains to be delayed at Grantham this lunchtime.

In a tweet East Coast Trains stated: “Owing to a vehicle striking a bridge at Grantham, train services through this station may be subject to disruption at short notice.”

Lincolnshire Police confirmed that they were alerted at 12.56pm to a Polish registered lorry striking the bridge, but did not report any road closures.
