St Wulfram’s Church will soon be transformed into a magical winter wonderland, with over 100 Christmas trees and an indoor ice skating rink.

St Wulfram’s Christmas Tree Festival and ‘Ice’ Skating Rink will run from November 24 to 29.

The Christmas trees have been made and decorated by different businesses, schools and individuals in Grantham, making each of them unique to their creator.

The festival will start at 5pm on Tuesday, November 24 with a candle lit procession from the Market Place over to the church, where the lights will be switched on by the winner of the Christmas Card Competition. Don’t forget to submit your postcard (A6) size colour design into St Wulfram’s or the Journal office by November 16.

The tree festival is open at specific times on Tuesday to Sunday, as is the artificial ice skating rink. There will be disco ice sessions on Friday and Saturday with music from a variety of genres, including old school classics, dance, 90s indie, Ibiza house and more. There will also be food, a bar, lights, lasers and smoke machines.

On Saturday, November 28 there will be local craft and produce markets as well as entertainment and children’s activities.

For further details on times go to www.facebook.com/stwulframs/ or call the parish office on 01476 561342.

* The church still has a number of old chairs to sell. It is replacing the chairs with new oak ones which can be stacked. They are £15 each. Call the parish office if you wish to buy.
