Two men to appear at Lincoln Magistrates Court today in connection to Long Bennington murder inquiry

Two men are due to appear in court today after being charged in connection with a murder inquiry.

Dean Gray, 46, died two days after being assaulted at Fairfield Yard, Long Bennington, at around 5pm on Wednesday (August 11).

Lincolnshire Police have charged Stuart Gray, 63, of Main Road, Long Bennington, with manslaughter and possession of an offensive weapon.

Terrance Hardy, 35, of Main Road, Long Bennington was charged with murder.

The two men have been remanded and are due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates' Court today (Monday).

Detective Inspector Andy McWatt has reiterated his appeal for information.

He said: “We are grateful to those who have come forward with information to support our investigation. We would also like to thank the local community for their assistance and cooperation.

"If you feel you might have relevant information, and have not yet spoken to us, we urge you to get in touch.

"This is a serious and complex investigation and it is important that we have every detail available to help us investigate fully and effectively."
