Two GBH arrests made in Grantham Wharf Road assault case

Following the assault of a 23-year-old man at Wharf Road on April 3, two arrests have been made by police.

Both a 25-year-old local man and a 35-year-old local man have been arrested on suspicion of committing GBH with intent and released on bail pending further enquiries.

The victim of the assault sustained injuries to his head and face, and was taken by emergency services to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

He has since left hospital and spoken to police about the attack, while forensic experts have visited the scene on several occasions.
