Update: A52 reopens after lorry full of confectionery overturns at Muston

The A52 has reopened after a lorry carrying confectionery overturned near to The Gap Inn at Muston this morning.

At 10.28am today police were called to the incident between the Belvoir Road junction at Bottesford and School Lane turning into Sedgebrook.

The driver of the vehicle, a Hino white box van, was taken to the Queens Medical Centre with injuries that are described as non-life threatening. No other vehicles were involved.

The A52 was closed in both directions during recovery of the vehicle, resulting in long traffic queues.
