Update: A52 reopens between Barrowby and Bingham after three injured in three car crash

Follwing a serious collision at Elton this lunchtime which saw three people taken to hospital, the A52 has reopened.

Three cars, one of which ended up in a ditch, collided at the A52 junction with Station Road at Elton.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue received a call to the crash at 11.52am, with crews from Central and West Bridgeford along with specialist rescue units from Highfields and Tuxford all sent to the scene.

One person had to be released from a car by firefighters, and three people were taken to hospital by the East Midlands Ambulance Service.

The A52 has now reopened after being closed for around six hours between the A1 at Barrowby and the A46 at Bingham.
