Update: Abandoned pony found injured on side of A52 at Braceby put down

A Cob pony which was abandoned by the side of the road just off the A52, at Long Hollow, Braceby, has had to be put down.

The pony was discovered yesterday morning in a very poor condition, with a wound to its rear left leg.

Hannah Greetham said: “This poor mare was put to sleep. We stayed with her from 7.30am this morning (Thursday). The injuries were horrific.”

If anyone has information regarding possible vehicles used to transport the pony, or recalls seeing the pony previously, please call 101 to provide details to police.
