Update: Casualty at Great Ponton quarry receives oxygen and suffered leg injuries

A man who required oxygen from the emergency services yesterday, had suffered leg injuries after an accident at Great Ponton quarry.

East Midlands Ambulance Service attended with a double crew, and an air ambulance was also called to the scene.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue were called out at 12.33pm, with their Rescue Support Unit from Grantham adminstering oxygen and assisting the paramedics.

The patient was taken by land ambulance to Grantham A&E, arriving at 1.41pm.
