Leader of Lincolnshire County Council Martin Hill has today announced a coalition deal which will see the Conservatives join up with Liberal Democrats and “several” independent councillors.
Coun Hill said: “I’m delighted that we have been able to reach this agreement. This will give us a firm foundation for the next four years, so the council can continue to focus on the issues that matter most to local people.
“I look forward to working alongside my new colleagues. I’m sure that together we can achieve things that benefit all our local communities.”
All three Liberal Democrat councillors - Reg Shore, John Marriott and Pat O’Connor - are joing the coalition, along with Independents Coun Chris Brewis, Coun Bill Aron and Coun Angela Newton.
Other Independents are expected to join in the coming days.
