Update: Firefighters release trapped casualty in A52 crash at Ropsley

A collision on the A52 at Ropsley last night saw Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue release one casualty from their vehicle.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash near to the turnoff to the village.

At 8.37pm two fire crews from Grantham attended and used hydraulic rescue equipment to free one casualty.

The incident led to the A52 being closed in both directions for several hours.
