Update: Man dies in industrial incident at Grantham factory

A 48-year-old local man has died as a result of an incident which took place at his workplace Parker Hannifin on Londonthorpe Road, Grantham this morning.

The incident took place at about 9.40am today when it is understood that the victim became trapped under some machinery. He died at the scene.

Lincolnshire and Nottingham Air Ambulance, two solo paramedics and one double crew ambulance attended the scene. The Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) were also called but stood down en route once it became clear the casualty was deceased.

Lincolnshire Police and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating the cause of the tragedy.

They are not yet in a position to name the deceased.
