Use Facebook to share tips on creating new dishes using your left-over food

Have your say

SHARE your cash-saving cooking tips with others across the county by posting them on Facebook.

Lincolnshire County Council has launched a Facebook group as part of its Love Food Hate Waste campaign.

It is a chance for families to help others save money on their shopping bills by discovering new dishes using left-over grub.

And the person who shares the best recipe will win a place on a BBC chef’s cooking course.

Chef Karl Sergison, star of BBC1’s ‘Turn Back Time: The High Street’, will personally judge the tastiest-looking recipe and the winner will be invited to a one-day cookery class at his Spalding deli.

Council recycling officer Jo Walker said: “There are some weird and wonderful recipes out there.”

To find or post recipes, type Love Food Hate Waste Lincolnshire into your Facebook search bar and click to join the group. All recipes for the competition must be posted before March 25.
